i am

anything i will ever have

will be

because of my own doing

i spend money so fast

because i’m not used to it

i was born with nothing

above us is only sky

if your at the bottom, you can only go up

life has no meaning or purpose

being materialistic is not wrong

i’m lucky i’m smart enough to understand nihilism

i’m lucky to have high cheek bones

i’m lucky to be aware enough to read about high culture while living in public housing

all we have is one little pathetic life

why spend it saving whales or teaching retards how to read

i want to be off the coast monaco on a speed boat

drinking champagne

i want to sleep in luxury hotels in tokyo

it does not matter

nothing matters

Lucky to do right!!

Just a quick thought, ever wondered why when u have a moment of trying to help someone who is in need; you feel good about it and move on but something negative or about to be unpleasant instantly occurs. It’s just one of those occurrences that one has to think–why me if I’m trying to do something right.

I helped this gentleman up from the road where he collapsed at. I mean in the middle of a busy two-lane highway heading towards Greensboro Avenue. As soon as I helped him across the road he thanked me and we said a prayer together and he went his way. Then as soon as I turn around, a car accident happened where I was almost hit head toward the front of the white BMW. No, I didn’t get hurt, but lucky the driver that almost hit me didn’t either because the other driver who hit him hit the passenger side. In other words, At any given time, luck could be on your shoulder no matter how much good deed you do or how much money you give away or how  many lives you saved. St. Patrick’s Day came to me one day late to be lucky.

Bottom line:  just be very careful whenever you help people if you’re not too focused on helping yourself first. Because as soon as you’re too blind on what you need to be focused on, then disaster strikes and then….. get the picture!!

Again just be careful!!!

Race 1 - F1 @ Sakhir

So the first race of the F1 season has been completed and the honors go to Alonso and the Ferrari team. Alonso lead a 1-2 victory with Hamilton rounded up the podium. Vettel fell to 4th place, which was caused by a faulty spark plug. If he didn’t have that problem, I’m sure that Vettel would have won the race. Vettel nearly lost another place to Rosberg, who finished 5th. Around 5 seconds behind, Micheal Schumacher finished 6th, with Button and Webber right behind him. The Force India of Luizzi finished a valuable 9th place, a great result for the team and Barrichello rounded of the top 10.

Kubica and Sutil finished 11th and 12th, because of an early spin at the first corner, thanks to the oil smoke of Webber’s Red Bull. Jamie Alguersuari finished 13th for the STR. Nico Hulkenberg first race ended up with a spin and recovered up to 14th. That was the main field, what I would call ‘Group 2′, Lotus was the winner of the new teams with Kovalainen finished 15th, beating Buemi in the STR (16th).

Then the remaining cars all retired; Trulli, de la Rosa, Senna, Glock, Petrov, Kobayashi, di Grassi and Chandhok.

Race Result

  1. F Alonso (Ferrari)
  2. F Massa (Ferrari)
  3. L Hamilton (McLaren)
  4. S Vettel (Red Bull)
  5. N Rosberg (Mercedes)
  6. M Schumacher (Mercedes)
  7. J Button (McLaren)
  8. M Webber (Red Bull)
  9. V Luizzi (Force India)
  10. R Barrichello (Williams)
  11. R Kubica (Renault)
  12. A Sutil (Force India)
  13. J Algursuari (STR)
  14. N Hulkenberg (Williams)
  15. H Kovalainen (Lotus)
  16. S Buemi (STR)
  17. J Trulli (Lotus) – Hydraulics
  18. P de la Rosa (BMW Sauber) – Hydraulics
  19. B Senna (HRT) – Mechanical
  20. T Glock (Virgin) – Gearbox
  21. V Petrov (Renault) – Suspension
  22. K Kobayashi (BMW Sauber) – Hydraulics
  23. L di Grassi (Virgin) – Hydraulics
  24. K Chandhok (HRT) – Accident

This means Alonso and Ferrari take an early lead in the championships. If you miss the race and the highlights, check out the link on the BBC iPlayer. The next race is in Australia in 2 weeks time, so don’t miss it.

2010 Trends part II

The last 2009 year is gone. Was one of the better years for creativity, iniciative and over anything try to get new styles.

The hellaflush was growing up very quick last year, as well as, restorations in the “new old classic” like Civic EF and CRX.

Honda world will see more and more restorations in Civic’s to get them completely OEM look, with OEM colours and I think using only quality rims, being BBS and RAYS almost the best choice for next year.

The one who decide swap his Honda will fit more K20 and J-series engine, the support is growing up and every time will be easy find plug and play engine mounts and wirings to swap J-series engines.

Hellaflush will be very very popular in 2010. Not only in US, even being Australia and Europe with HF love. More deep rims, insane camber with colourful rims will be present in HF.

Stickers, roof racks will be the same. Cars will be even more clean than ever with new colours over the OEM colours and stickers in bumpers, bonnets or trunks will increase popularity for next year.

This is my prediction, but I wish to be wrong and get more and more trends for next year. And see who will be more original being VW guys, BMW or Honda who develop new trends.

The new cool car this 2010 is going to be the S2000 and G35. I forget the role for new Hyundai Genesis…We are going to see many of those this year.

Old school is the next…and more old school is coming…Old Toyota and Datsun cars will increase in popularity being Cressida and AE86 even more populars. More people will try to get cheap 240Z and 510…they are almost finish… Hurry up.

Bahrain: Formula 1 is back!

The Bahrain Grand Prix, the first Formula 1 GP of the 2010 season kicks off this coming weekend at Sakhir.  I’m excited! The prospect of four world champions racing each other, three of those in teams where the other driver is a serious title contender, could make this the most dramatic F1 season in ages.

After pre-season testing in Barcelona, it looks like Red Bull and Ferrari are a bit quicker than McLaren and Mercedes.

Strategy

With mid-race refueling banned, it’s going to be interesting seeing how race strategies evolve. Cars are now starting off with at least 80kg more fuel, so will be heavier on their tyres early on, with a bigger differential between full and empty. This could favour smooth drivers like Jenson Button and hinder broncos like Lewis Hamilton. Keeping fuel tank temperatures down will also be a job.

Driver rivalry within teams can be a major distraction (Hamilton and Fernando Alonso at McLaren in 2007) or a major motivation (Button and Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 2009), depending on how amicable the men are off the track.

As fun as watching the actual race is, I think you learn more about cars and strategy from the commentary over the practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday. I’ll be Sky-Plussing those babies for sure!

The constructor’s line-up has changed pretty radically in the global recession, with the departure of giants Honda, BMW and Toyota from the formula. Renault and Sauber may not stick around much longer either. But the remaining teams promise a fight to relish!

.

Big players:

McLaren

1 Jenson Button (GBR): He only won one F1 Grand Prix in nine seasons before winning six in 2009 to become current world champion. Has being world champ quenched his thirst to win, or will he still give it everything? Can he make his silky driving style work in a new car and new team? A team with the last two world champs must be worth watching.

2 Lewis Hamilton (GBR): Can he handle Button coming into his domain at McLaren? He was a lot more comfortable with Heikki Kovalainen than Alonso as teammate. His 2008 victory, his second year in F1, was secured by a single point, with that overtake on the last corner of the last race at Interlagos, making him the youngest ever F1 world champ as well as its first black driver. Can he avoid F1 politics this year? Can he convert that prodigious racing talent into a second world championship? In a year’s time will we still call him the quickest driver in F1?

.

Mercedes GP

3 Michael Schumacher (DEU): Back with king strategician Ross Brawn who led him to seven world championships. At 41 he is fit and attentive but was retired from F1 for three seasons. Will he dominate as he once did? Can he keep up with the young bloods? Does he still have the hunger? Brawn GP had a fairytale 2009, winning driver’s and constructor’s crowns despite only being salvaged from the ruins of Honda 3 weeks before the first race.

4 Nico Rosberg (DEU): A seat in a German dream team with Schumacher and Mercedes as constructor. The re-branded Brawn team have engineering brilliance galore. Can Rosberg give his laurelled teammate a run for his money? Will the ex-Brawn team start to miss Button and Barrichello?

.

Red Bull

5 Sebastian Vettel (DEU): He won four GPs last year to come second in 2009 and mark himself out as a potential future world champ. Can he add himself to the hall of fame?

6 Mark Webber (AUS): He helped Red Bull become a major force in 2009, where they were the only real challenge to Brawn. He finally bagged two wins in 2009. Can he take Adrian Newey’s RB6 to further success?

.

Ferrari

7 Felipe Massa (BRA): 2009 was a season to forget for Ferrari whose F60 lacked a decent double diffuser and only won once. But they’re looking strong for 2010 and Massa has bounced back with a titanium plate in his skull after being hit in the helmet by Barrichello’s suspension spring at the Hungaroring. Can he race at the highest level again? Will he have to make room for his new teammate?

8 Fernando Alonso (ESP): A dream come true: 2005 and 2006 world champ Alonso in a seat at the Scuderia. Can he excel again after his struggles at McLaren and Renault? Will the high-nosed F10 give him what he needs to vie for a third championship? It ought to- Ferrari have had plenty of time to work on it after stopping F60 development in August 2009.

.

Of the other teams, I think Force India and occasionally Williams-Cosworth will be worth a watch. Of the new teams, Lotus seem the most optimistic. It’s all up for grabs!

Our Dream Vehicle...

This is going to be a fun post for us…

Like most people, buying an automobile is an exciting adventure! Unfortunately, like most of us, buying a vehicle can be a daunting task. Throughout our experience, our choices have always been limited because of our income. But let’s assume money is not an issue at all. There are so many beautiful dream vehicles on the market to explore, but we have come into agreement to stay faithful to our top three dream automobiles…

#1: 2010 Range Rover HSE

The perfect vehicle for us! This is our #1 pick for our dream vehicle. Currently we have no plan to get into a White Land Rover but our vision and expectation to be driving one someday is rooted deep in our mind and heart.

Our Range Rover HSE

5 liter, 8-cylinder engine

Base MSRP                                                                                                                            $79,275 Santorini Black Jet Seats / Jet Carpet Grand Black Lacquer Wood Luxury Interior Package $4,950 Rear Seat Entertainment $2,500 Adaptive Cruise Control $2,000 Rear Seat Recline (Style 2) $1,250 Jet Colored Headlining $400 HD Radio™ Digital AM & FM $350 Total MSRP as Built $90,725 #2: 2010 328i Convertible

Our #2 pick for our dream vehicle goes to out to the BMW. We love the look and feel of this elegant yet sporty looking car. It still is, and will forever be our dream to settle with one of these automobiles! If we had to choose between a BMW and a Range Rover, we would be Rover-ing the Range… But we would be more then content and highly satisfied with a 2007 330cic White or Black BMW…

Our 328i Convertible 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine Base MSRP $45,000 Black Sapphire Metallic $550 Black Dakota Leather $0 Aluminum Trim $0 Cold Weather Package $750 M Sport Package $3,250 • M Sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters $100 Premium Package $2,750 STEPTRONIC automatic transmission $1,375 Active Cruise Control $2,400 Navigation system $2,100 iPod and USB adapter $400 Logic7 sound system with Surround Sound and Digital Sound Processing $875 Anti-theft alarm system $400 Destination & Handling: $875 Total MSRP as Built $60,825 #3: 2010 Honda Accord Coupe LX-S

As most of you know, Honda has always made safe and reliable vehicles… This year we are highly impressed with the design of the new models! We make the Honda Accord Coupe LX-S our # 3 pick of vehicles we would like to get into! Now keep in mind… If we had the opportunity to get into a Range Rover HSE or a 328i BMW Convertible, we’re rolling with those choices. But, the Honda Accord is an excellent vehicle and we would be overjoyed to get into one of these guy’s!!!

Our Honda Accord Coupe LX-S 190-hp, 2.4-Liter, 4-cylinder Engine Base MSRP $23,355 Exterior: Crystal Black Pearl $0 Interior: Black $0 Body Side Molding $213 Front and Rear Stabilizer Bars $0 Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) Power-Assisted Rack-and-Pinion Steering $0

E46 Stance

Who wouldn’t love themselves a BMW? I’ve always had a dream of aquiring a E46 M3. Was close to buying one a few years back, now regretting now taking the plunge. Awesome looking car stock and modified. This one is no exception, has an awesome stance. Modded very tastefully, simple and clean!

The Move.

I’m moving out of my cousin’s basement this weekend and will now be contributing to society like a normal human being.  It’s exciting.  I found a place in Humboldt Park right near Hipsterville…I mean Wicker Park. It’s by no means a lavish environment but it does provide me a place to lay my head at night.  It’s a cozy little dumpster in the back alley of…NO. I’m just kidding.  It’s an actual real apartment that I will be sharing with two other guys.  They seem normal enough and it’s just a few feet from the bus stop that I will be taking to work so I won’t have to burn any unnecessary calories.  It’s certainly a win win.  In fact it’s a whole lot of win.  You know what I’m talking about.  If you don’t, here’s a visual:

On a completely unrelated note, Emily (my lovely partner in crime) and I attended the Chicago Auto Show.  It was not as impressive as we had both hoped but I did get to see some a nice a automobiles. (You really need a good Italian accent for that one.  Think Mario and Luigi.)  Porsches, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Lotuses, and a Toyota Corolla.  Seriously though, for all you car nerds out there…it was a good turnout.  Here’s a list:

Nissan GTR

Audi R8

BMW M3 (which I got to sit in and almost wet myself)

Maserati Granturismo

Lotus Exige and  Evora

Mercedes SLS AMG (the gullwing)

Acura ARX-02a prototype

Fisker Karma electric concept

Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo

The list just goes on.  Actually, it doesn’t and that’s why I was disappointed.  There weren’t very many concept cars and many of the companies weren’t even showing their top-of-the-line vehicles.  Audi didn’t have the RS4 or RS6.  They didn’t even have an A8 for that matter.  There was no M5 or M6 from BMW and Porsche only had three models, one of which being the appalling Panamera.  It looked like a retired football player.  Gross.  Long story short, it was disappointing but I guess for 6 bucks I shouldn’t be complaining.  I would’ve paid that much just to sit in some guy’s BMW out in the parking lot.  Also, I got to skip church, so double bonus.  Just kidding…but seriously.

Be prepared because my next post may very well come from my new abode.  Get pumped.  I know I am.

RIP: 1985 BMW 535i

This might be old news for those of you who follow the show scene (we confess, we don’t particularly), but a car we’ve had on here before (on multiple occasions at that) appears to have bitten the dust. Love it or loathe it, it was an instant forum/show scene classic, and it got wilder and hairier with each passing iteration, culminating in the craziness you see immediately below. What a shame.

A quick look back through the owner’s excellent portfolio:
